Don’t…Look…Down….

I’ve told you guys via twitter and FB just how much I am loving my new job. Of course, it comes with a new set of challenges but I’m learning SO MUCH every day from the crew, my co-hosts, my producers and our executive producer. I worked in TV before but always as a segment “contributor”, “reporter” or “guest”. It’s a whole different experience when you are leading the show and I feel fortunate to be able to do that with Lisa and John!
So when we came in on Monday morning, I had no idea that there were topless protests going on in NYC and around the country over the weekend. Basically, women and men marched to give women the same right to walk around shirtless just like men! Personally, I’ve never felt compelled to walk around topless in the city and the last time I took my top off like that was for a game of “shirts vs. skins” against my friends in the neighborhood. I was six. Mom had to tell me that yeah, that wasn’t allowed anymore….
Whether or not you agree with the cause, that’s up to you. But I have to say, I admired Moira Johnston for coming into our studio and speaking on behalf of her beliefs so eloquently. Topless. Check out Lisa and I conducting our interview and doing the best job EVER of looking straight into her eyes….
